About Tahoe Donner Campground

The Tahoe Donner Campground delivers a classic Sierra Nevada camping experience in a quiet forested setting along Alder Creek. Tent and RV sites offer modern comforts, including restrooms with hot showers, Wi-Fi access and on-site amenities such as ping pong and horseshoes. The campground connects directly to the Tahoe Donner trail system, with the historic Emigrant Trail nearby, offering miles of hiking and mountain biking through scenic high-country terrain. Just minutes from downtown Truckee, it combines peaceful seclusion with convenient access to dining, shopping and year-round recreation.

All RV sites will accommodate vehicles up to 45 feet in length. Tahoe Donner is a non-smoking resort. No wood or charcoal fires allowed. Two dogs per site are allowed for a fee; dogs must remain on leash at all times and may not be left unattended at campsite. For full campground policies, click here.
