INSPIRED BY FAMILY TIME + FUN
Elevation Escape is the vision of long-time Tahoe Donner residents Aimee and Kane Schaller. Part of the community since the 1980s, the Schallers were inspired to bring the interactive game concept to Truckee after experiencing all the fun with their teen daughters on a “stay-cation” in Reno.

Though Aimee and Kane thoroughly enjoyed the highly immersive setting, they were equally appreciative that their daughters were engaged, too. “We’ve always been into playing games together,” says Aimee, “but as the girls got older, their tastes and preferences for entertainment also started to change. Finding things we could still enjoy as a family became a challenge. We were thrilled to discover all the escape rooms in Reno and thought, this is so great; let’s keep the fun going!”

The Schallers built Elevation Escape quite literally with their bare hands. From assembling and installing the props to learning how to operate the interactive programming, Aimee, Kane and their daughters all chipped in to bring their vision to life. Now, as a family-run business, both parents and children remain an integral part of the process, from working as game masters to greeting guests.

Elevation Escape’s rooms offer 60-minute adventures full of thrills, chills, challenges and surprises. Whether you’re cracking codes, finding hidden clues or solving mysteries, every room promises a memorable way to connect for team building, family bonding or a fun night out with friends.

THE EGYPTIAN TOMB OF DJOSER:
Trapped in an ancient Egyptian tomb with the air supply dangerously low, can you unlock the mysteries of Djoser, the Pharoah of the Third Dynasty, to save yourselves?

THE CRYPT:
The legends are true; vampires do exist! Deep in the Romanian Hoia Forest lies a Gothic fortress with dark secrets and an ancient, sinister creature. Time is running out before the blood-thirsty vampire awakes. Can you defeat him and make your escape?

THE HAUNTED HOTEL:
A mysterious disappearance, strange noises, terrifying messages from beyond. You’ve checked in, but will you be able to check out or meet the same fate as the patron before you, never to be heard from again? New rooms and experiences are also currently   in development. TEAMWORK MAKES THE ESCAPE WORK: Escape rooms are designed for teamwork and cooperation. If you’ve ever wanted to know who might crack under pressure or who comes out as the surprise MVP in your crew, this is your chance!

NO NEED TO BE A PUZZLE EXPERT: Don’t worry; you don’t need PhD-level puzzle-solving skills to enjoy an escape room. Elevation Escape’s rooms are designed for a wide range of ages and skill levels; just ask the Truckee High School students who are frequent visitors!

SURPRISE! YOU’RE A PUZZLE MASTER: Escape rooms can help reveal hidden talents – whether you’re unexpectedly great at code-breaking, excellent at spotting patterns or a natural leader in high-pressure situations, escape rooms are both challenging and rewarding!

HANDS-ON FUN…LITERALLY: Once you enter the room, hesitating or freezing up is perfectly normal. After all, it’s anything but normal to start touching and moving everything in a room you’ve only just entered. But you will have to physically manipulate objects, open hidden compartments or even unlock secret doors! It’s a completely interactive, hands-on experience that keeps you moving – and sometimes screaming – at every unlocked clue.

ADRENALINE RUSH: The countdown clock and dramatic voices from the speakers create a thrilling sense of urgency, and that adrenaline rush makes the experience feel like you’re the hero in the final act of a spy movie.

PHONE A FRIEND: If your group gets stuck, Elevation Escape’s “game masters” are close by and can offer hints to help you along the way. So after you’ve yelled, “WHAT DOES IT MEAN?” for the tenth time, they’ve got your back.
